ALL art lovers are invited to participate in an art carnival organised by MBG Fruits on Mar 19 at the Hartamas Shopping Centre at 2pm.
The object of focus at the carnival is fruits with the theme “Cantik, Sihat dan Bergaya”. Some of the activities lined-up at the event are art competitions, fun games, celebrity teens/mothers fashion show and music performances .
“One In A Million” rising star Shila will join several other hot and happening young celebrities to pose as live models for art and catwalk with their mothers using fruits.
On the same day, another MBG art event will take place at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia entitled “My Friend and I, My Neighbour and I”.
The event is aimed at promoting a united and healthy community among primary pupils. These two concurrent events signify MBG’s series of art initiatives for this year which received the support of well-known artistes.
Last year, celebrity artists Yusof Gajah and his daughter Jaja Gajah and comedienne cum artist Imuda shared insights on art and judged at the MBG competition entitled “Health Is Wealth”. In line with promoting art, MBG recently launched its online art club/forum aimed at boosting creativity and passion for art. It allows artists to communicate, appreciate people and exchange insights with other fellow art lovers conveniently without leaving home and serves as a platform to do charity.
MBG managing director Adnan Lee said amateur or professional artists can display their work, earn and do charity at the same time.
“One unique feature is they can earn from their art pieces uploaded on the MBG website.
“When their art pieces are sold to a buyer who appreciates their work, 50% goes into the artists’ pocket while the remaining is channelled to charity organisation Beautiful Gate Foundation For the Disabled,” he said.
The art pieces created at the art carnival will be sold on MBG online art club to benefit disabled children.
