Australia Peach
Australian Peaches are known for their strong fragrance and fine texture, making them one of the most popular fruits in the season.
Peaches grow really well in the cooler areas of Australia, as they need a nice mild climate and a cold winter. If you live in an area that is prone to late frosts, consider protecting your peaches and nectarines with shade cloth or similar, as these late/spring frosts can severely damage the flowers.
The White Peach
White Peaches have a sweet white to pale yellow flesh with the skin color ranging from yellow/green to yellow/red.
The peach is believed to have originated in China and has been mentioned in literature as far back as 551 B.C. It was transported from China to Persia (Iran) along the old silk routes and then to Europe over 2000 years ago.
White Peaches are available from November to March in Australia and make an ideal addition to homemade fruit baskets.
White Peach Ripeness
Peaches are best left on the tree until ripe, as their flavor is far more intense, however, fruit picked while the firm is fantastic for cooking and will still ripen away from the tree. For us MBG, we will need them delivered while they are still firm to prolong the freshness and sell to you guys when ripe (soft).
The Taste
This time the Australia Peaches overall come in “M” Size. The average diameter of it is 7cm with the weight of around 200g. Their sizes quite consistent more or less around that big. Then from our taste bud, this peach has a strong fragrance smell, taste is mildly sweet and soft texture when ripe.
